Great Lakes Learning Community As a Department of Education and Community school, Great Lakes College has the benefit of forming an alliance with other DEC schools in the Great Lakes area.The Great Lakes Learning Community (GLLC) is committed to enhancing productive and supportive learning environments for the staff and students of public schools within the Great Lakes. In doing so it aims to:
- Enhance learning outcomes for students
- Sustain a professional learning community for all
- Apply for and manage CoS, regional, state and federal resources
- Enhance the transition of students and parents at key points
- Promote public education in the Great Lakes
- Provide collegial support for stakeholders
Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG)
As the peak community Aboriginal Education body in Great Lakes area, the Local Forster Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) works collaboratively with various community and educational stakeholders to provide advice on all matters relevant to education and training.
